I finally downloaded IE for Macintosh so I could see what my HTML handiwork looks like using the other browser.

Holy crap!

It doesn't render transparent images properly at all!!!!!!!

What the hell is that crap about!!!!!!!

At least when I use Safari, it does what the hell I tell it to do!

Does Firefox do a better job than IE with regards to following instructions?

Oh, and by the way, IE looks horrible on PCs too! :veryangry

OK, rant over.

:Feels the calmness washing over me like the soothing ocean breeze:

IE on a Mac? That's like a strap-on on a lesbian!

But to answer your question I see transparencies the same in both IE7 and FF2.
Neither can handle PNG-24, but both do well with PNG-8 and Gifs.

I haven't upgraded to either IE8 or FF3 because they are just way too crappy for me. The way they both handle tables are ridiculous, but those were betas I used.
