The Division Update 1.8

The Division Update 1.8 has been out since December. But before I share my thoughts on the new update for The Division, a brief history. I had been playing The Division, a Clancy nline-only action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. I was part of the public beta and took advantage of the All Season pass. Initially, I enjoyed the game as I made my way up the levels. It was a game that I could easily solo and still enjoy playing with friends in the Darkzone. However, the game quickly died out, going from #3 on Steam when it first came out and falling to #43 just 3 months after its official launch.

In December of 2017, Ubisoft released a new update titled The Resistance;

Update 1.8 – Resistance is the second update planned for Year 2 of Tom Clancy’s The Division and is the biggest free update to date. Resistance includes a completely new area of the map, new PVP and PVE game modes, alongside tweaks and bug fixes.

Having a little down time after the holidays, I decided to give it a try and downloaded the new update. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting much. But to my surprise, I do like the new content. The new PVE maps and missions are fun. There are new types of gear called “Classified” which are a better version of set gears. The new Classified Gear sets come with 5 and 6 piece bonus sets and now let you calibrate two attributes. In addition there is a new Gear Optimization station, that allows you to take your favorite gear and opitimize it in order to reach it’s cap limit. So basically, GOD roles are not an absolute must anymore.

I’ve include a video from MARCOSTYLE to provide you with a better description of the new changes. See you in game, happy hunting and good luck Agents!
